Though you most often find criticism in the form of an essay, in-depth book reviews may also be considered criticism. Criticism may analyze an individual work of literature. It may also examine an author's body of work. The Native American literature resources collected here include extensive annotated bibliographies by genre, discussion questions to accompany several popular literary works by and about American Indians, and one critical review. All were generously provided by Dorothea (Dottie) Susag, a retired Literature Arts teacher who taught for four years in Choteau and another twenty-one years in Simms. In 2005 she started working part time for OPI as a curriculum writer and expert in the implementation of "Indian Education for All" in Montana's schools. Dottie puts on workshops and conducts classes on Native American Literature for teachers in schools across the state.

Grey Literature is "[i]nformation produced on all levels of government, academics, business and industry in electronic and print formats not controlled by commercial publishing i.e. where publishing is not the primary activity of the producing body." ( A large amount of of grey literature can be found if the information is available on the internet. Despite the potency of search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing, these tools do not cover the entirety of the web. Many of the resources can be found in a hidden web, often referred to as the "Deep Web." The Deep Web is composed of searchable databases accessible through the internet, which are not availabe through ordinary web search engines. It is also called the "hidden web" or "invisible web." LIT Language and Information Technologies is a research group at the University of Michigan, working on research projects in natural language processing, information retrieval, and applied machine learning. The Language and Information Technologies research group was established in 2002 at the University of North. The Stanford Literary Lab is a research collective that applies computational criticism, in all its forms, to the study of literature. The Lab is open to students and faculty at Stanford, and, on a more ad hoc basis, to those from other institutions. Our projects range from dissertation chapters to individual and group publications, lectures, courses, panels, and conferences. For professionals, they are useful reports that keep them up to date with what is current in the field. For scholars, the depth and breadth of the literature review emphasizes the credibility of the writer in his or her. Since 1990, a research team led by Professor Kevin Wheldall from Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC) has been researching how best to teach children who struggle to learn to read and more effective ways of managing children’s behaviour in the classroom. In 1995, Professor Wheldall launched the Making Up Lost Time In Literacy (or Multi Lit) Initiative at MUSEC as a focus for a program of research and product development. The Multi Lit Research Unit was established in 2006 as the focus for continuing research. The early Multi Lit research (1996 – 1998) is detailed in the report commissioned by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs (DETYA, now DEEWR) entitled ‘An Evaluation of Multi Lit’ (Wheldall & Beaman, 2000). ACADEMY (the LSAD centre for research into Art, Curatorial Studies, Applied Design and Art and Design Education) was officially founded in 2013. In 2014 it was the successful recipient of Creative Europe funding. The foundation of this centre reflects the growing importance of art and design research cited in the current LIT Research Strategy as a “Niche Strategic Research Area”. This project ‘Symbols – Culture of Death & Cultural Life: New Audiences and Creations around European Cemeteries’ is the product of a collaboration between ACADEMY and the Limerick Printmakers, in conjunction with the Aviles Municipal Foundation for Culture (Spain), Maribor Cemetery (Slovenia), Genoa Municipality (Italy), Dundee & Angus College (UK) and Communaute de Communes du Nebbiu (France). ACADEMY sits within the LSAD Centre for Postgraduate Studies. The work produced by two residencies in Spain and Scotland was exhibited in LSAD in 2016. ACADEMY is also involved in the pilot project of the Leerling/Meester Project (Apprentice/Master Project) initiated by Hogeschool voor de Kunsten at the University of Tilburg, and in conjunction with partners in Scotland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium and China which seeks to create a European network for emerging artists who are newly graduated, providing them with mentorship and international exhibition opportunities. It currently has 28 registered researchers including 11 Ph D/Tracking Ph D students. ACADEMY is currently working on applications on the Gothic, medical humanities, women in art and creative and cultural industries under Creative Europe, the Wellcome Trust and INTERREG. It also has internal and external steering committees of experts in art, design, critical and contextual studies and curatorial practice.
